Here is a super simple, no prep activity for babies and young toddlers. All you need is a colander and pipe cleaners!
Take a few pipe cleaners and thread them through the holes in the colander. I cut some of the pipe cleaners in half to make them shorter.
And that’s it! Bonus points if you get big brother or sister to help thread the pipe cleaners!
Let baby pull out the pipe cleaners and put them back in as well. This works on practicing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The texture of the pipe cleaners as well as the colander kept my son intrigued!
And I got a few minutes alone to drink my coffee. A few moments of silence is gold, am I right??
Thanks for dropping by! Make sure to check out my post where I share 15 low-prep screen-free activities. Some of them occupied my 3-year-old for more than 45 minutes!
