Becoming an older sibling can be a challenge for most kids. It can be difficult to understand the changes in relationships when a new baby joins the family.
Books are a great way help toddlers and preschoolers to understand and prepare themselves for this change.

Interestingly enough, these books have been really helping recently as well. Now that my second son is a year old, I feel like we’ve encountered some new challenges to my boys’ relationship with each other and with us.
Until recently, our second son has been the “baby”. But now that he can walk and is starting to talk, my boys have been starting to fight over toys and being possessive over me as well.
Reading through some of these books with my older son recently, has been helping him understand what brothers are–what a brothers’ relationship is like, what brothers can do together, etc.
