Yesterday was officially the first Advent Sunday, which means Christmas season is upon us!
To celebrate, we made a really easy DIY paper Christmas wreath with my boys and wanted to share 🙂 It’s super simple, but came out really cute! We have ours on the inside of our front door, and I think it just adds a really sweet homemade yet Christmas feel to our home.

Materials Needed:
You just need a few things for this DIY Christmas wreath, and chances are you already have these things at home already.
- paper plate
- pencil
- scissors
- green paint
- paint brushes
- hole punch
- yarn or twine
- stickers/glitter/sequins/pompoms
- glue
Easy DIY Paper Christmas Wreath
This DIY Christmas wreath is super simple and easy for toddlers and preschoolers to put together. It didn’t take long for us to put it together, and I really love how it turned out!
Step 1
Draw a circle in the center of the paper plate. I traced a big roll of tape, and it was the perfect size.
Step 2
Cut out the circle center of the paper plate. And now you have the wreath shaped out!
My kiddos love cutting, but I did these first two steps to create a more clean wreath shape.
Step 3
Get your toddler to paint the wreath with green paint. And let the paint fully dry.
Step 4
Once the paint has dried completely, decorate the wreath! We used some stickers, pom poms, and some large sequins. I love that the pom poms gave the wreath some interesting texture, and it added a really cute element to it.
Step 5
Punch a hole at the top of the wreath and tie a piece of yarn or twine through it to hang it up. We used red and white twine, and it added a more Christmasy touch to it.
That’s it!
And you’re finished! It’s such an easy way to make a cute DIY Christmas wreath, and my boys loved making it 🙂
