Korean skincare products and K-beauty has really gained a lot of popularity over the past few years, so you may have heard a thing or two about it.
Maybe you’ve been wanting to try out Korean skincare products, but you don’t know what products are good and where to get them? Don’t worry girl, I got you covered.
I’ve been using Korean skincare since I was 10 years old. I am not a professional, but I definitely have my fair share of experience using a variety of Korean skincare products for the past 20 years.
My skin has changed throughout the years, but currently I have normal-combination skin with some dry patches. I think most of these products cater to all skin types, but since I don’t have overly oily skin, I can’t personally speak to that category.

Neogen Real Fresh Foam Cleanser
I especially like using this cleanser during the summer. This cleanser is really light and gentle on the skin. So your skin feels clean but not completely stripped of oils. I love the pump, and that it’s a light foam, so you don’t need to work to lather the product.
This would work for all skin types.

Cosrx Gel Cleanser
Just as the name suggests, I like using this in the mornings. Since I don’t have any makeup on my face when I wake up, I don’t need a super deep cleanser. Some days, I don’t even use a cleanser in the mornings, especially during the dry winter season.
This cleanser works perfectly in the mornings since it is so gentle. But that’s not to say, you can’t use it in the evenings too. I have used it as a second step to my double-cleanse routine, and it does a good job. However, I wouldn’t recommend relying on this alone to face off makeup.
This product lathers a little bit, but not too much. And it leaves your skin feeling clean without feeling dried out.
This product would be best for normal-dry skin type.

Innisfree Bija Foam Cleanser
I have been using this product for YEARS. Just on Amazon alone, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve bought this cleanser, but I have been using it even before I had Amazon Prime. Definitely one of my favorite cleansers OF. ALL. TIME. That’s a big statement. I also got my husband hooked on it, and he always asks for this cleanser when I take a break from it to try out other cleansers.
Unlike the other two cleansers mentioned above, this is a good ole’ fashioned creamy foam cleanser. I like using this one at night as the second step to my double cleanse. And I also really like using it when I feel like I’m going to have a breakout, or if my skin feels more oily than normal (depending on my monthly cycle).
This is a really squeaky clean cleanser, so it can feel a bit drying. So definitely make sure you put on your toner or essence sooner after using this cleanser.
This product would be best for combination to oily skin types.

Banila Co. Clean it Zero Cleansing Balm
I love using this as the first step in my double cleanse routine. For those of you who don’t know what a double cleanse routine is, it’s usually done at the end of the day to start your evening skincare routine. You use a cleansing balm or oil first directly on top of your makeup and then follow up with a “normal” face washing with a cleanser like the ones mentioned above.
This cleansing balm is so amazing at melting your makeup off. It’s designed to even take off waterproof makeup!
All you need is about a nickel-sized amount. Rub your hands together to warm up the product, and then gently rub the product into your face. And while it feels oily on your face at first, once you start washing your face with water, the product emulsifies and washes off very easily.
This cleansing balm is quite affordable compared to most others on the market, and really does an amazing job.
This product would work for all skin types.

Skinfood Black Sugar Face Mask Exfoliator
I don’t use physical exfoliators too often anymore. However, I use this one when I feel like I have more buildup of dead skin on my face. Do you know what I’m talking about?
I usually use this in the shower after washing my face with a regular face cleanser. I use maybe a quarter size amount and scrub it on my face focusing on the areas that I feel need exfoliating, typically my T-zone. Since the sugar grains are quite large, they can feel harsh on your skin. Make sure you are gentle and don’t scrub too harshly.
I leave it on for a few minutes while I shampoo or wash my body, and then rinse of the mask. The black sugar melts off and my face feels super smooth afterwards.
This scrub would work for all skin types.

Acwell 5.5 Licorice PH Balancing Toner
This is my FAVORITE toner! I’ve gone through 4 bottles of this during the past year.
It is a cleansing toner, so it helps remove whatever makeup your double cleanse didn’t take off. I put it on a cotton pad and swipe it over my face. The double cleanse does a pretty good job of taking off all my makeup, but since I wear waterproof mascara, I usually do have some mascara residue left on my eyelashes. This toner removes the little bits of mascara gunk off and my face is super clean.
But the most unique thing about this toner is that it is moisturizing! It makes my face feel really clean but supple. The licorice extract in the product also helps with brightening the skin. Seriously, the best toner I’ve ever used! I cannot live without this.

Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence
After using the Acwell toner, I use this essence. It’s really watery. I pour a little in the palm of my hands, and then pat it into my face. This product contains loads of benefits for your skin. You can read more about it HERE.
I feel like it moisturizes well but it doesn’t feel heavy or leave any residue behind. It just sinks into the skin!
This essence would be great for all skin types.

Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence
Snail mucin?! GROSS! Yeah, that was my initial reaction too. Snail mucin has become really popular in Korean skincare over the past few years. And while it sounds super gross, it is intensely moisturizing and so good for your skin.
I just recently started using this product (I use it after toner and before moisturizer), and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it absorbed into my skin. The texture is a little slimy at first, but once I started patting it into my face, it absorbed quickly and I don’t feel any residue on my face afterward.
If you have dry skin, I would definitely suggest trying this product out!

Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum
Vitamin C is known for its brightening effects on skin. This serum is lightweight and moisturizing. You can use this after toner or essence and then follow up with a moisturizer. Or you can also mix it into your moisturizer and then patting into your face together.
I think this would work well for normal skin types.

Cosrx Pimple Patch
I personally don’t use pimple patches anymore because I don’t really get breakouts too often, but I have used them in the past. This product is immensely popular and I’ve heard about it a lot.
You use this when you have a pimple or zit. You place the patch on top and leave it there for a few hours. I have seen some people wearing these during the day, but I would personally recommend using this at night after you skin routine. That way the product can sit on the pimple throughout the whole night and you won’t have to worry about makeup sitting on top of it.

Cosrx Oil Free Moisturizing Lotion
I started using this recently, and I love it! It is light, but feels really moisturizing as well. Since it is lighter, I think it’s the perfect moisturizer for the morning to wear under makeup. I usually use a thicker moisturizer or cream in the evening.
I think this will suit normal skin best.

Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream
I use this cream when I feel like my skin needs something soothing, as the name suggests. It is thicker in consistency, but it really nourishes your skin. This works well in the morning as well as night.
Normal to dry skin types would enjoy this product.

Etude House Eye Cream
People say to start using eye cream early on to prevent wrinkles. Prevention is way easier than reversing something that’s already been done to your face.
This is a good first eye cream since it is quite affordable and it does the job. Place some product on your ring fingers and gently tap the areas around your eyes. The ring finger is the weakest finger so it is the gentlest for the sensitive skin around the eyes.

Mediheal Sheet Mask
Sheet masks are one of the most popular Korean skincare products. And for good reason! They are a great way to treat your face and give that extra care your skin needs.
I heard that these masks were one of the most popular products in Korea, I knew I had to try them. I have been using Mediheal sheet masks for years. I love that they are thin, stay on your face, and ultra moisturizing. Different masks target different concerns you may have–such as moisturizing, brightening, soothing, wrinkle care, etc. You can order a variety pack to see which one you like.
I usually use these masks in the evening. I wash my face and then put on the mask. I leave it on for about 20 mins, and during that time, I usually watch an episode of Friends or The Office. In the past, I’ve also used these masks while I take a bath. It’s the perfect pampering session your skin needs!

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
My lips are pretty dry generally, so I’m one of those people that always needs to have some sort of lip balm on. And I prefer wearing a tinted lip balm or sheer lipstick over a traditional lipstick. I CANNOT wear matte lipstick or liquid lipstick because it is way too drying on my lips.
Over the years, I have tried so many lip products. This is one of my favorites for putting on at night before I sleep. It stays on throughout the night and in the morning, I have really plump and hydrated lips!
This product is quite thick in consistency, so if you prefer a light lip balm, this is not for you.
The pot contains quite a bit of product so it lasts a long time! I would say mine lasted for over a year, and I used it every single night. Love it!

Klavuu Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack
After I ran out of my Laneige lip mask, I tried this one out, and this is also really good! They are quite similar, but I do think that I prefer the Laneige lip mask, if I had to choose one. But this lip sleeping pack is also super hydrating. So good!

Laneige Lip Glowy Balm
I love using this lip balm during the day. Unlike the lip sleeping mask, this one is a bit thinner in consistency, but it is perfect for during the day. I like that it comes in a tube so it you can easily apply it throughout the day.
The glowy balm has a sheer tint when you look at the product, but it doesn’t show up on the lips at all. It comes in three scents: pear, peach, and grapefruit. I think this peach scent smells so nice!
